About Me
Hej Hej!
My name is Izabella Rodrigues (they/them), but most people just call me Bella :) I think research needs to be more contextualized, so here is more information about me.
Past
I grew up all over the place, but mostly bouncing between the United States and Europe. Notably, I was born in the Bay Area of California, I spent my formative years in Basel, Switzerland, and I attended high school in Cape Elizabeth and Portland, Maine. Additionally, my mom is from an island outside of Stockholm, Sweden which is where I spent many summers. My mom traveled for work when my brother Theo and I were younger so we also spent a lot of time in Germany, Italy, France, and the UK.
Present
I attended NYU’s Gallatin School of Individualized Studies where I concentrated in Human Computer Interaction (HCI) where I focused on accessibility and environmental sustainability. I am interested at the intersection of sustainability, technology, materials chemistry, art, accessibility, and disability justice.
Future
I’m looking forward to pursuing a PhD Post grad in HCI or a related field. I feel so grateful a I found Human-Computer Interaction and I think I might just spend the rest of my life in research. :)
