glass flowers!

I feel like I’ve been waiting a lifetime to see these flowers and it only took until my final spring break to see it! I went up to Boston to visit my mom and ended up getting to see one two of my friends from high school era: Marco and Mahitha.

I wrote about the Blaschka Glass Collection in my thesis, but had never gotten the chance to see them with my own eyes until Friday!! They were even more breath taking in person and I absolutely nerded out SO hard for 3 hours in that exhibition.

Before visiting the Harvard Museum of Natural History, I had no idea that the family also made glass sea creatures?!! I feel like I should have stumbled upon that in my research, but I didn’t and was GIDDY to see them. I will probably continue to talk about those specimens for the rest of my life.
