Songwriting and Audio Engineering

Since I was a kid, I’ve been drawn to sound—not just hearing it, but understanding it. I became fascinated by sound waves, how they move, how they shape our experiences. That curiosity led me to music, where I found deep joy in collaboration. I’ve always been the music theory nerd in the group, eager to unpack the structures behind what we’re creating. But what keeps me coming back is how others challenge and expand my creativity—how sound becomes a space for connection, exploration, and play.

Sound waves are so cool.

After moving to Cape Elizabeth, ME from Basel, Switzerland, I had no friends and was quite lost. I found it hard to connect with others and often felt like an alien. One of the first things that made it out of the shipping container and boxes was an acoustic guitar. In a way to self soothe, I learned to play guitar. I wasn’t very good and what I was playing wasn’t very interesting, so I learned to sing to make it more complex. I was intrinsically interested in it.

Big Daddy Gang

First Publication:

“Out of Love” on album “Overtime” by Big Daddy Gang (BDG)

I somehow ended up auditioning for music high school and got into the Music Program at Portland Arts and Technology High School (PATHS). This ended up being the best decision I had ever made for myself. I met others who shared the same passion for music and I was challenged in ways I didn’t even know were possible. PATHS still remains some of the best memories of my life. While I attended PATHS, I met Luthando (Thando Bleu) Mngqibisa, Uther Moon Dadaleares, and Ochola Lindos the members of Big Daddy Gang (BDG). We recorded “Out Of Love” which was the first song I had ever written.

Second Publication:

“Watering The Pines Every Sunday” an EP by The BitterRoots

Through Maine Academy of Modern Music (MAMM) I met Audrey Watson, Maggie Ellis, Molly Ramos, and Eliza Macleod. We formed The BitterRoots and recorded a collaborative EP called “Watering The Pines Every Sunday”
